I’m a big fan of Alan Bennett’s “Talking Heads” monologues which allow someone to reveal themselves by talking straight to camera.
My Sexlife Monologues take that idea and combine it with the kind of sociology research project into sexual habits that t was prevalent when I was studying such things.
Monologues seem intimate and honest but,as with most of the assessments we make of people, we base our judgment as much on what is not said as on what is.
From time to time another theme occurs to me that I think is best handled through this conceit. Eventually, I hope to have a good collection of monologues that could be pulled together as a podcast.
